A tour curated by Prince Nicholas of Romania
10 Days / 9 Nights
Dear Historians and Travelers,
True history is not found in textbooks, but in the timeless stones of medieval citadels and the centuries-old traditions of diverse cultures.
I invite you to discover a land where different eras coexist in perfect harmony. It is a place where medieval Saxon fortifications still guard vibrant valleys, and Szekler traditions remain woven into the fabric of daily life.
For me personally, this land represents a living testament to European cultural resilience as well as a model of intercultural communication.
This 10-day journey bridges the grand narratives of the past with privileged, present-day encounters. You will trace royal history at the Curtea de Arges Monastery, explore the Vauban fortress of Alba Iulia, stand before the majestic Black Church in Brașov, wander the cobblestone lanes of UNESCO-protected citadels like Sighișoara and Viscri and experience the noble tranquility of the Zabala Estate. Together, we will uncover the stories of Peles Castle and marvel at Bucharest’s dramatic transitions from royal palaces to communist monuments.
So please consider this your personal invitation on a journey through the chapters of our shared past!
